What is thermoforming?
Thermoforming is a plastic manufacturing process where flat thermoplastic sheets are heated to a pliable temperature, then formed into specific shapes using moulds or manual manipulation. Once cooled, the material retains its new shape permanently.

Vaccuum Forming
Vacuum Forming is a popular thermoforming technique where a heated plastic sheet is drawn over a mould and then a vacuum created, sucking the plastic sheet tightly into the mould, once the material cools, the moulded shape is then retained.
This method of thermoforming is used to create lightweight, repeatable components with a smooth and professional finish.
We often use vacuum forming for a variety of products, however commonly it is used for the following;

We work with a variety of materials such as HIPS, ABS, Polycarbonate, PETG and Acrylic.
Line Bending
Line Bending is another thermoforming technique, however, for line bending we heat a section of the sheet and then bend the sheet to the desired angle and shape. This allows us to produce crisp folds and curves in the material.
Line Bending is commonly used for the following applications;
